Salesforce Agentforce Marketing
Marketing Cloud Next: marketing that truly knows your customers.
This is about more than better email sending. One customer profile in Data 360, segments and content across every channel, in real time if you need it, and AI agents that help plan your campaigns. All of it right inside Salesforce, with no connector in between.
Today, Marketing Cloud Engagement, formerly ExactTarget, usually runs alongside Salesforce. Data gets copied back and forth, and every new audience needs someone who writes SQL. Using your current system as the example, we show you what Next can already do, where its limits still are and what your move over the coming months looks like.
The big picture
Everything your marketing needs, on one platform
Understand customers
Customer Insights
Data 360 brings CRM, web, app, service and commerce together in one profile. Segments can be updated in real time on request.

Segmentation
Describe your audience instead of building it
You say who you want to reach. Agentforce turns that into segment rules on the unified customer profile, no SQL needed.
- A segment in minutes, not days
- Review, adjust, create
- On Advanced also at account level

Campaigns
The one-way street becomes a conversation
Email, SMS and WhatsApp from one Flow. Replies do not go nowhere: the Flow waits, responds and hands over to a bot or to service, in the same thread.
- Two-way SMS and WhatsApp conversations (Advanced)
- Hand-off to Agentforce or Service Cloud
- Consent held centrally in Data 360

Planning
The agent plans, you decide
You name a goal in plain words, and the agent delivers the brief and the audience. On Advanced, the Campaign Designer builds the whole campaign flow from it.
- A campaign from one prompt
- Results where the team works
- Approval stays with a person

Personalisation
Content per recipient, not per segment
Email and landing page adapt to the person: on brand, from your templates, in your tone of voice. The agent generates the variants, you set the guardrails.
What changes
From campaign tool to platform
- Today the campaign tool runs alongside Salesforce. In between sits a connector that shuffles data back and forth and needs looking after.
- With Marketing Cloud Next, your marketing moves into the platform. The connector disappears, and everyone works with the same data in Data 360.
- Agentforce helps orchestrate. Business customers and consumers live in the same system, and every change takes effect in every channel.
At a glance
10 reasons for Marketing Cloud Next
- 1
customer picture instead of many lists
CRM, web, app, service and commerce merge into one profile in Data 360.

Real-time segments possible
You describe the audience in one sentence. The segment works in every channel and can be updated in real time on request.
Campaigns that can reply
The flow waits for the answer and responds. Two-way SMS and WhatsApp conversations in Advanced.
Hand-off to service without a break
A campaign becomes a service case, in the same conversation, without a new ticket.
Content per recipient
Email and landing page adapt to the person, within your templates and tone of voice.
B2B and B2C in one system
Ideal if you serve both. You reach business customers and consumers on the same platform, each with their own profile.

The agent plans, you decide
One goal becomes a brief and an audience. A person signs it off.
- 100%
Your campaigns keep running
Next grows alongside your current system. You switch at your own pace, with no cut-over date.
Consent in one place
Consent sits centrally in Data 360 instead of per channel.
- −1
system less to maintain
Agentforce, Sales, Service and Loyalty Cloud work with the same data. No connector between marketing and CRM.

Why move?
Many data sources become one customer picture
- Today your data is spread out: email tool, CRM, service, shop. Someone reconciles lists, and the email still arrives twice.
- Marketing Cloud Next brings your sources together in one profile, step by step rather than all at once. Your current system keeps running.
- One profile gives you segments, campaigns and content per recipient. And Agentforce takes on the busywork.

Frequently asked questions
No, and there is no cut-over date. Engagement and Account Engagement stay. But agents, new channels and the integration with Sales and Service are built on Marketing Cloud Next. So the question is not whether, but at what pace.
Salesforce calls it convergence: what exists stays in operation, what is new is built alongside, operations move step by step. A lift-and-shift does not work, because data model and automation follow a different logic.
Next currently supports AMPscript only to a limited extent. In the consultation we are happy to analyse your current scripts and check which of them can already be implemented directly with AMPscript in Next and where new approaches are needed.
Growth for multichannel campaigns and Agentforce creation. Advanced as soon as you want to test, predict, hold real conversations or work at account level. We decide that on your use cases, not on the feature list.
Licence, Data 360 credits and the project. The project depends on where you start: anything from a few weeks to a roadmap over several quarters. In the consultation we also estimate your budget frame for 2027 with you, so it makes it into your planning in time.
No. To start, you need the data connection, identity resolution and the segments for the first use cases. Data 360 then grows with you, use case by use case rather than as a big preliminary project.
Yes. Existing journeys keep running unchanged. Flow can trigger them, chain them and react to their events. So you build around what exists instead of replacing it.
It stays yours. The Einstein Trust Layer masks sensitive data before a language model sees it, and external models never train on your information. On top of that, the agents only act within the guardrails you set.
With Methode42, our approach to change: we involve people early, take concerns seriously and learn on real campaigns rather than in a classroom. The training comes from the factory42 Academy.
Yes. Your sales team sends approved marketing templates themselves, personal and on brand. And they see right on the account, lead and contact how someone has engaged with your content. So they know whom to call first.
Yes. Since February 2026 there are business units: data, content and campaigns of each brand or country stay cleanly separated, while reporting still works across all of them. We recommend starting small, with one new business unit for each existing one.
With a conversation about your migration strategy. We look at your current system, your use cases and campaigns and tell you openly what already works and where the limits still are. That shows the way: Quick Start, 8-week transformation or a HealthCheck first.
